Precautionary SAFETY ADVISE for karabiner STUBAI HMS PRO EASYLOCK

We ask all owners and users of the karabiner STUBAI HMS PRO EASYLOCK to undertake a safety inspection.

We cannot be 100% certain that no karabiners with a wrong gate have been brought into circulation.

In the course of quality control every single karabiner is examined manually here at STUBAI. Both a traction test and a visual examination are accomplished.
In the course of the final inspection of the last batch it was noted for the first time that a few karabiners were equipped with a wrong gate from another – very similar – karabiner. Thereupon all other karabiners from the warehouse were rechecked and no piece was found to have this wrong gate. This underlines the conscientiousness of the final inspection.

Nevertheless it cannot be absolutely certain that at an earlier time an incorrect karabiner has left our warehouse. Safety is our highest priority! Therefore we hereby request all users to examine the karabiners of this type again, even though the probability of a faulty item in circulation is extremely low.

The difference between the correct and the wrong gate can easily be recognized by the user. With opened screw one can look through the gate of the karabiner while the correct one has a closed end. On the picture below it´s clearly evident (Richtig=correct, Falsch=incorrect)!

- red anodized body
- silver gate with brass-screw
